The Dawns Here Are Quiet...
A multimedia opera show where drama, contemporary visualization and classical music create an emotional bridge between the past and the present.
With gratitude and respect for the feat of the participants of the Great Patriotic War, in the year of the defender of the fatherland we offer a unique production of the opera with elements of the show "The Dawns Here Are Quiet..."

The show's semantic and musical basis will be K. Molchanov's opera "The Dawns Here Are Quiet...", which is based on the story of the same name by B. Vasiliev and is well known to a wide audience. The film based on this book brought the Soviet Union an OSCAR nomination in 1972.
The peculiarity of the proposed format is the combination of different genres: opera, drama theatre, cinema and video art.

  • Thus, pre-filmed video content will complement what is happening on stage: a chronicler will read excerpts from the story, those that in the opera remain between the lines of music, behind the scenes, sound design - the crackling of a fire, the rustling of leaves, the singing of birds interrupted by explosions and shots will help the viewer to fully immerse himself in the atmosphere of what is happening on stage.

This combination of genres will make the opera clearer for the mass audience and will help to convey important, eternal meanings to the ordinary listener in simple language and will not leave anyone indifferent.

Starring soloists of the Mariinsky and Bolshoi Theatres:

Andrei Serov - Senior Sergeant Vaskov
Guzel Sharipova - Sonya Gurvich
Natalia Pavlova - Liza Brichkina
Ksenia Grigorieva - Rita Osyanina
Daria Telyatnikova - Zhenya Komelkova

Also on stage - a symphony orchestra (52 people), choir (from 25 people), conductor and reader.

The role of the narrator-chronicler, who will become the link between the past and the present, will be played by one of the dramatic actors: Alexander Petrov, Evgeny Tsyganov, Sergey Bezrukov, Andrey Merzlikin.

In the opera, the audience will hear familiar melodies: "There is no need to pity us" and "Wait for me" - a romance by Zhenka Komelkova, written to the poem of the same name by Konstantin Simonov. The poem is called a symbol of the Great Patriotic War and part of its cultural code.
